March Meeting Postponed

Please be advised: In light of the pending storm forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday 3/14, the monthly meeting has been postponed until further notice. When and if a date is determined to resume, we will publish that info here as well as on out Facebook page.

Currently our trails are closed. This means the gates are as well and the chances of any grooming being done with closed gates are slim and none- so keep that in mind. ALSO, we've had 2 or 3 cold days leading up to this storm, enough to put a thin layer of ice on the lakes and ponds. They are NOT safe and 18" of snow on it will look pretty inviting.... STAY OFF THE ICE ...please.

Everyone be safe!

Steve

C&T Powersports Donation!

The Sno-Moles would like to send big ol’ thank you out to the folks at C&T Powersports over in Troy for their generosity in outfitting our groomers with LED lighting! That is AWESOME! Until you’ve been out grooming, you really can't appreciate how important good lighting is. Thank you all, again!

You Ski-Doo folks should be sure to look up C&T Powersports for any Ski-Doo needs you have. You can check out their website here: C&T Powersports

2017 Annual SnoMoles' Cookout, Poker Run & Vintage Ride

UPDATED: 2/16/2017

The Monadnock Snomoles' Annual Cookout, Vintage Ride and Poker Run will be February 18th, 2017 from 11:00am to 4:30pm. Groomers will be out Thursday and Friday nights prior to the cookout to ensure all the trails will be groomed.

Cookout donations: $10 for adults- Kids 12 and under $5. All you can eat. For those bringing food dishes, (all dishes, salads, treats etc. are welcome) there will be someone at the cookout location to handle any drop-offs from 9am on. See Location On Google Maps Please put your name on your crock pot so we can make sure it gets back to you.

The Poker Run starts & ends at the house at the end of Beach Ave. on Lake Contoocook in Jaffrey. (Coming across the lake from the rail bed towards Woodbound, it will be on the right shoreline. After you pass the point, look for all the sleds!) There is NO TRAILER PARKING at this location! The Poker Run is $20 for 5 hands. Wild cards are available for an additional $5. The stops have been modified due to our uncertainty of the safety of the ice. (More info at the sign up location.) USE CAUTION if crossing any water, please.

Parking is available at the public beach parking area, Squantum Rd. Jaffrey, NH and at Monadnock Marketplace in Rindge, NH (Market Basket) There is some parking at the Dragon Palace in Troy as well.

The Vintage Ride will begin at Community Field in Jaffrey, NH. Parking is available in the lot on Blake St. Across the street from the end of the lot is the entrance to the rail bed. Donations are $15 (previously listed incorrectly as $20) and that includes all you can eat at the Cookout.

Can you help? We need some folks to help us with our event. Be it manning one of the poker stops along the route or checking the cards when players return. It could be driving our recovery sled for the vintage ride. We have a number of little jobs we could use help with. If you think you might be able to give us a hand, please attend our monthly meeting this month. It's WEDNESDAY Feb 15th at the Woodbound at 7PM. We will be discussing everything about the event and getting all the bases covered. Certainly would be nice to have some extra help for this year's event.

Riding Sunday? Look for us out on the rail bed to Keene in the Fitzwilliam Depot area with our grill cooking up hamburgers and hot dogs. Around noon.

Thank you for your interest in our event. This is our clubs primary fund raiser for the year. Funds raised aid in equipment repairs mostly. We do take a portion and make an annual donation to the Easter Seals' Camp Sno-Mo which allows children to enjoy the "camp" experience for a week that might otherwise not be able to due to their disability.
