Hello to all,
I think first off we should all give a big thanks to Bob Doherty for his numerous years as club president and all of his efforts, hard work and dedication to our club. He has left some pretty big shoes to fill. So, THANK YOU Bob for all you’ve done over the years.
On another note, the State will not be giving money to the club to purchase our new, much needed Prinoth groomer. We were in high hopes of having our new groomer this winter, but we’re going to have to try again next year. We did purchase the new Bearcat groomer though, to replace the old Skandic. If this new machine grooms half as good as it looks it should prove to be a nice groomer for our smaller side trails.
Work parties will be starting this weekend, Sunday Oct. 16th. Anyone interested should meet at Annett state park at 8am. We can use plenty of help, coffee/donuts and pizza will be provided. Hope to see you there!
We are looking forward to another great season of riding. We are in hopes of having our trails named/numbered and well marked for the upcoming riding season. Hopefully it will make navigating your way around our trail system a whole lot easier. Anyone wanting to help out with signage should either show up at a club meeting, or come to a work party for direction on what areas need signage.
I look forward to seeing you at the monthly meetings and work parties.
Remember, our trails will only be as good as our members make them!
Thanks to all who volunteer their valuable time.
Dan Lawn
