2019 Annual SnoMoles' Cookout & Poker Run

The Monadnock Snomoles' Annual Cookout and Poker Run will be February 16th, 2019. Groomers will be out, weather permitting, Thursday and Friday nights prior to the cookout to ensure all the trails will be groomed.

Cookout donations (Cookout will be 11:00am to 3:00pm):

$5.00 for adults- Kids 10 and under are free. All you can eat. For those bringing food dishes, (all dishes, salads, treats etc. are welcome) there will be someone at the cookout location to handle any drop-offs from 8am on. See Location On Google Maps Please put your name on your crock pot so we can make sure it gets back to you. (The plastic tab closers found on bread and english muffin bags work good if you don't want to put a piece of tape on a crock pot etc. Put your name on the tab and put the tab on the cord.)

The Poker Run (Poker Run is 9:00am to 2:00pm, ALL cards must be back by 2pm):

The poker run starts & ends at the house at the end of Beach Ave. on Lake Contoocook in Jaffrey. (Coming across the lake from the rail bed towards Woodbound, it will be on the right shoreline. After you pass the point, look for all the sleds!) There is NO TRAILER PARKING at this location! The Poker Run is $5.00 a hand or 5 hands for $20.00. Wild cards will be available for an additional $5. The stops have yet to be determined due to our uncertainty of snow and the safety of the ice. (More info at the sign up location.) USE CAUTION if crossing any water, please.

Parking is available at the public beach parking area, Squantum Rd. Jaffrey, NH and unlimited parking at Monadnock Marketplace in Rindge, NH (Market Basket) There is parking at the Dragon Palace in Troy as well.

Care to help? We need some folks to help us with our event. Be it manning one of the poker stops along the route or checking the cards when players return. We have a number of little jobs we could use help with. If you think you might be able to give us a hand, please attend our monthly meeting this month. It's Tuesday Feb 12th at Emma's 321 at 7PM. We will be discussing everything about the event and getting all the bases covered. Certainly would be nice to have some extra help for this year's event.

Riding Sunday? Look for us around noon out on the rail bed to Keene in the Fitzwilliam Depot area with our grill cooking up (any unused) hamburgers and hot dogs from the cookout.

Thank you for your interest in our event. This is our clubs primary fund raiser for the year. Funds raised aid in equipment repairs and materials mostly. We do take a portion and make an annual donation to the Easter Seals' Camp Sno-Mo which allows children to enjoy the "camp" experience for a week that might otherwise not be able to due to their disability. Click here for more info on the Easter Seals Camp Sno-Mo.
